Watercolor for the Beginner with Janet Rodriguez

This class is designed to help the beginner learn the basics of painting in watercolor: how to mix colors, how to wet the paper, how to use the brushes. The many techniques and tricks of using watercolor are also taught: glazing, using washes, spattering, dry brush, using mask, painting on gesso, etc. We will also help students learn how to: "save a painting". All of these techniques will be used painting still life and landscapes. Most of all we learn how to have fun with watercolor.

Classes are held on Thursdays, from 10:00 am till 1:00 pm (no classes on the 2nd Thursday of each month)The cost is 22.50 per 3 hour class. All new students must call Janet at 232-1860 to sign up, get a materials list, and schedule of class dates.
